Three Rivers RC&D approves and implements projects that will conserve the natural resources and improve the quality of life in West Florida. Please take time to look at the many diverse types of projects we are working on.

Anderson Pond

This unique conservation project includes the restoration of 3400 feet of creek and expanded recreational opportunities at Anderson Pond on Eglin Air Force Base near Niceville, Florida.  The project includes removing a portion of the existing dam and constructing a bridge over the restored creek channel.  A 3-acre pond will also be constructed and a new 1200 ft. handicapped accessible boardwalk will to allow fishing in the pond. Total cost of project is $1,272,330, and sponsors include Eglin AFB, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Three Rivers RC&D Council, Inc.
